Find a mentor or work with the Small Business development Center, which is a free service. That was a huge factor in growing our business.
What can you share about your creative process?
I love talking to my team or my good friend about the ideas I have. Talking about it out loud helps my brain process and understand how to make it, colors to use, and even photograph it.
What inspires you?
The people I am closest to (my sons, mom and good friends) inspire me.
Tell us a little about the journey that led you to where you are now.
I started making cloth napkins for my family to use, as we were blasting through paper towels, and it felt so wasteful. I soon began selling them at farmer's market and then Etsy. As I began to see people drawn to our products, I took the leap and stopped teaching to pursue this full time. That was 13 years ago, and I have never regretted my decision to pursue my dream!."
