These four books feature the flowers and fairies of each season. Each beautifully illustrated image is accompanied by a small poem that talks about the virtues of the flower. The artist and author of the poems, Cicely Mary Barker, originally published her flower fairies in 1923. Well versed in botanical drawings her florals are surprisingly true to form. Her sister ran a nursery and Cicely often modeled her fairy children after those that she knew.
